SONG RELEASE STORY
March 18, 2022
Let's celebrate. Let's win at life.
Many of my friends and family know my struggles with migraines. Since I was 12, they have plagued me, and sent me down a terrible spiral. Many people have tried to help me, and many have succeeded.
Four of Wands represents celebration after an accomplishment. You've worked hard, toiled away to get here, and now get to reap the rewards. It also recognizes and remembers the people who stepped in and helped along the way. For some, this might be a wedding or anniversary, for others, graduation from high school or college. For me, on July 3, 2021, when I wrote After the Harvest, I recalled an especially difficult time in my life, when I needed a lot of support and guidance. My husband walked alongside me and together we climbed the steepest hill, and then slid down the other side with ease and joy. And then, we cheered.
Now I'm experiencing a new, different, scarier, in a way migraine-related, health trouble. The universe is responding in the most magnificent way. A flock of kind friends and strangers have gathered around me, and they just keep coming. I know someday I'll re-listen to this song, and it will have new meaning. That's exactly how the songs are meant to be heard. Every goal, every long-awaited outcome, deserves its time in the spotlight. And the next time you have something big to celebrate coming through, this song is yours to dance to.
