I am married to my husband, Miah (short for Jeremiah), and we have a family of dogs. Our packmates include senior Border Collie, Magic, and American Golden Retriever, Glimmer. Our beloved Border Collie, Sparkle, is with us in spirit. We are a bonded pack and we love our routines.
Miah and I have been life partners for over 20 years, and in that time, he has helped me understand who I really am and how to live my best life. He has patiently stuck by me, showing me the greatest love, devotion, grace, and forgiveness of anyone I have ever met. Miah encourages me and teaches me to never to give up on my dreams. Most things are a struggle for me, but that doesn't mean I am unworthy of peace and happiness. I try to live in the present. I try to push past my fear. I believe I am meant to learn and grow. Recovery isn't linear, and neither is progress. But I just keep trying, one song at a time.
